Kind of a Betty Boop look here with just a hint of pin-up. Shot with one light on white background. ProPhoto strobe with 7' White/Black Parabolic Umbrella.

Shot at wide angle (24mm) which added to the Betty Boop look. I kind of like the distortion but would like to hear what others think. The jury is still out.
The background was gray sooc but I changed it to high key in CS5.
Developed in LR3 + PS CS5

I didn't think I would make the last day of the 208 Tattoo Fest but Heather gave me a hall pass to sneak out of the house for a few hours. I tried to make the most of it; things were not as hectic at the Fest so I had a chance to shoot with some of the lovely pin-up models. All in all it was a great event - I'm really glad I went!

Esse vestido foi fotagrafodo em nossa vitrine, atrás dá até para ver a galeria rss, parece que o vestido está voando. Mas o importante mesmo é que esta peça é linda ! E com esse retorno do xadrez para o nosso inverno você tem de aproveitar ... vários modelos e tamanhos , mas poucas unidades :(

One of my favorite type of shoots is pin up. I love the dresses the style and the hair. I have done a couple of pin up type of shoots and thought melissa might be perfect for a pin up inspired shoot. Pin up dresses are pretty hard to come by and most of the cost a pretty penny. We ventured to the Betty Page store in hollywood to find a dress. I couldn't believe some of the prices of the dresses. We ended up finding an amazing dress and set up a studio shoot for the following week at smash photo studio in long beach. I was lucky to have Julia come along to do hair and make up and she did a flat out amazing job. The shoot went smootly and I could not be happier with the results. Now only if I didn't hate editing so much.
